June 7, MINSK. Over the past weekend in the Minsk region, road guards detained 25 drivers in a state of intoxication. BelTA was informed about this by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.
The State traffic inspectorate recalls that according to Article 18.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, a gradation of the driver's ALCOHOL intoxication is provided. If alcohol intoxication is from 0.3 to 0.8 ppm inclusive, the offender is deprived of a driver's license for a period of 3 years, and a fine of 100 basic units will also have to be paid. If more than 0.8 ppm - deprivation of rights for a period of 5 years and a fine of 200 basic units.
Repeated driving while intoxicated within a year will result in criminal liability for the offender, with special confiscation of the vehicle driven while intoxicated, regardless of ownership.
