The Minsk Region State Traffic Inspectorate will strengthen control on the P28 and P55 highways

This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs.  

"In January 2025, four traffic accidents were registered on the P28 Minsk - Molodechno - Naroch highway, in which one person died and three were injured, and two traffic accidents were registered on the P55 Bobruisk - Glusk - Lyuban - Gulevichi highway, in which two people died," the department reported.

In order to implement additional measures aimed at preventing road traffic injuries and identifying violations by road users, from 27 February to 28 February 2025, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Minsk Region will conduct raids to work out accident-prone sections of the P28 and P55 highways.

The traffic police patrols will be concentrated in areas where there is the greatest likelihood of violations and road accidents. The traffic police will pay special attention to road users' compliance with traffic regulations, identifying serious violations that are the main causes of road accidents with serious consequences (driving vehicles by drivers in a state of intoxication).intoxicated and not having the right to drive, violation of the rules for the transportation of passengers (in turn - children), violation of traffic rules by pedestrians and other road users. In case of serious violations by road users, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Minsk Region asks citizens to immediately report to the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Minsk Region by phone 8 (017) 229-04-44 or 102.
