Artist Sasha Skochilenko, who was arrested for replacing price tags with anti-war stickers at a store in St. Petersburg , will be able to receive a gluten-free package. Interfax was informed about this in the administration of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

“We will accept transfers with gluten-free products. They are not prohibited,” the department said.

The Federal Penitentiary Service also noted that Skochilenko is being held in “conditions that meet the requirements of the law,” the other day she was transferred to SIZO-5 from a temporary detention center.

Lawyer Yana Nepovinnova previously reported that Skochilenko had an attack due to the fact that the gluten-free diet was not followed. She also pointed out that proper medical care was not provided in the detention center and that a special diet was not possible because it was not provided for by the regulations.

The Vasileostrovskiy District COURT arrested Skochilenko until May 31 in the case of spreading fakes about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces (part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, the girl attached information sheets about the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine to commodity price tags in one of the stores on Vasilyevsky Island, which the Russian Defense Ministry calls false. As the artist's lawyer, Dmitry Gerasimov, told the Bumaga publication, Skochilenko does not deny the very fact of placing leaflets, but does not consider the information on them to be false. The lawyer also said that the investigation had reclassified the case of his client from the first part of the article “about fakes about the Russian army” to the second, tougher one. According to it, the maximum punishment for the artist is no longer three years in prison (or a fine of up to 1.5 million rubles), but five to ten years in prison.
