December 21, Gomel. Two men fell into a well in the Dobrush region, BelTA reports with reference to the regional organization OSVOD.
The bodies of two local residents were found in an unused drinking well in the village of Antonovka on the afternoon of 20 December. From a four-meter depth, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations raised men born in 1971 and 1953.The circumstances of the incident are established.
The organization noted that a similar incident occurred in February this year in Dobrush. Then a 50-year-old man died in a well.
As specified in OSVOD, since the beginning of the year, 5 people have died in wells. Tragedies happened not only in drinking wells, but also in engineering structures, unused pits. Falling into them, people died from injuries, hypothermia or drowning. The causes of incidents are very different: from violation of safety rules and requirements for the maintenance of engineering structures to a sudden onset of illness, ALCOHOL intoxication.
Employees of the regional organization OSVOD remind about safety rules: "In the dark, try to move only along a familiar road. If it is not lit, use a flashlight. Avoid unknown structures, manholes, dips. If you notice an open hatch or well, report it to the appropriate service, and also, if possible, mark it with improvised means.
