In the Brest region, traffic police this year have already recorded more than 400 violations of traffic rules by minibus drivers. In two cases drunk drivers got behind the wheel. The first one happened during the day. Traffic police officers stopped a fixed-route taxi driven by a man with 1.8 ppm of alcohol in his blood. There were three passengers in the cabin at the time. The second incident took place around 9 am. The driver had 0.48 ppm of alcohol. The traffic police noticed that the procedure for conducting a pre-trip medical examination was violated. In the first case, no one checked the driver at all, in the second, the physical condition of the driver did not arouse suspicion in the nurse.

In addition, facts are recorded when minibuses are driven by drivers who do not have the right to drive vehicles.

At a meeting in Brest, they discuss the possibilities of improving the safety of passenger traffic.
