August 1, Vitebsk. The number of robberies in the Vitebsk region decreased by 27% over the first half of the year. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the information service of the prosecutor's office of the Vitebsk region.

The number of murders and attempts on them decreased by 20%."The crime rate in the Vitebsk region per 10,000 people was 39.9, which is lower than the republican indicator, which was at around 44.6," the supervisory authority noted, emphasizing that the situation in some areas of activity in the region can be described as tense . Among the problematic issues are the prevention of fraud, theft through the use of computer technology, crimes in the stateALCOHOL intoxication , and corruption.
