August 17, MINSK. The Belarusian Railways will hold the Children and Safety campaign from August 22 to September 4, BelTA learned from the press center of the Belarusian Railways.
"In all departments of the Belarusian Railways, work will be intensified to prevent and prevent child injuries. The employees of the Belarusian Railways, together with members of public formations, employees of the internal affairs bodies, organize raids, during which they will pay special attention to children and adolescents who are unattended near the railway tracks, on railway stations, stations and trains," the press center said.
Additionally, at stations and on trains, citizens will be informed about security measures when they are at railway transport facilities. Also, teenagers and their parents will be reminded of the rules of conduct on the railway, including at parent meetings that will be held before September 1 in schools located in close proximity to the railway.
Since the beginning of 2022, 60 cases of non-occupational injuries have occurred on the Belarusian Railway. 62 people were injured, 47 of them died. Including 4 minors were injured, two of them fatally. 40% of the victims were under the influence of ALCOHOL .
"Do not leave children alone and do not let them play near railway tracks, do not walk on railway tracks, do not cross them in unspecified places. it is also forbidden to run across the tracks in front of an approaching train, jump from platforms, crawl under rolling stock, ride on cabins and roofs of a multiple unit rolling stock and locomotives, putting foreign objects on the way, throwing stones at a moving rolling stock, using headphones near the railway track and talking on a mobile phone. Compliance with these simple rules will save the life of you and your loved ones," the Belarusian Railways stressed.
