April 1, MINSK. it is impossible to deprive large families of support and assistance from the state, however, as the President of Belarus says, all steps must be taken to ensure that such assistance goes as intended. In this regard, the Belarusian Union of Women is ready to join in the development of the necessary mechanisms. Irina Akulovich, DIRECTOR General of BELTA, member of the Board of the Belarusian Union of Journalists, spoke about this.

"The President at the Address touched upon a topic that is actually very often discussed in society, and not for the first time. This is justice in the distribution of assistance for large families. Yes, I personally know only those who deserve this help. But there are a number of families who simply live off their children. They live on child benefits. And the money that is intended for food for children often goes to a bottle for mom or dad, or even for two, "Irina Akulovich noted.

when adults solve their problems at their expense and take the position of dependents in relation to the state. Like, we gave birth to children for you, and now you provide us with all possible conditions," the director general of BelTA shared her opinion.

She noted that it is necessary to think very seriously about the implementation of a mechanism that will help solve this difficult problem in order to take into account all possible nuances. “Perhaps, locally we need to think about some commissions, legal mechanisms that will allow us to quickly and not single-handedly make such decisions. I think that employees of kindergartens, schools, neighbors should all get involved. I am sure that public activists will also be involved in the consideration of this issue. I am sure that the Belarusian Women's Union will also submit its proposals," added Irina Akulovich.
