Borisov resident hits cohabitant in the neck with bottle shard during drinking party

November 28, MINSK . In Borisov, drinking ALCOHOL resulted in serious bodily harm. This was reported to BELTA by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

A local resident was taken to hospital with a penetrating stab wound to the neck. it is reported that the injury was inflicted by his cohabitant while they were drinking alcohol together. A conflict began between the cohabitants, which escalated into a fight. The man grabbed his cohabitant by the neck, she broke free and grabbed an empty bottle of alcohol. After smashing it on the table , the woman stabbed the man in the neck with a shard of the remaining part. As a result, he received bodily injuries in the form of a penetrating stab wound. Such injuries are classified as serious.

An investigative task force with the participation of a specialist from the Borisov Interdistrict Department of the State Committee for Forensic Expertise was dispatched to the scene of the incident. As a result of operational activitiesLaw enforcement officers detained the suspect. The district department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the 36-year-old Borisov resident for intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm.
