August 5, Minsk. More than 3.5 thousand people were brought to justice for swimming in prohibited places. BelTA was informed about this in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

For the coming weekend, weather forecasters promise hot weather. With its onset, the number of people who come to relax in nature will increase. To reduce the number of accidents and offenses, police officers will ensure security in places of mass recreation.

Not all reservoirs can swim, reminded the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Appropriate information boards are installed in prohibited areas, and warning buoys are installed in hazardous areas. Drunk people are most at risk in the water. So, since the beginning of the swimming season, more than 5.5 thousand citizens have been brought to administrative responsibility for drinking alcoholic beverages, as well as being in a public place in a state of intoxication, and over 3.5 thousand for swimming in prohibited places. At the same time, 80 people drowned , nine of which are children.

In addition, you should not leave your property unattended, which can be stolen, the department added.
