As part of the "Don't Burn Your Life" campaign, rescuers visited over 2,500 households in Mosty and Grodno districts and in the regional center over the weekend. Particular attention was paid to the most vulnerable categories: lonely elderly people, large families, as well as those who are in a socially dangerous situation or have problems with
ALCOHOL, because they are the ones who most often become victims of careless handling of fire.
During the preventive measures, 101 service employees reminded people of the need to monitor the serviceability of electrical wiring and electrical appliances. They also checked the work of the API and cited figures as an example: this year, thanks to the timely operation of the API, 13 residents of the region were saved.
In the Grodno region, where 73 fire emergencies occurred this year, in which five people died, employees of the district department
of the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted preventive raids, actively involving the population in a dialogue about safety.
The rescuers also focused on the serviceability of stoves, the use of electric heating devices. The Ministry of Emergency Situations employees held talks about safety rules with the elderly and children.
