More than 140 pedestrians in the Vitebsk region received fines for traffic violations over the weekend

June 5, Vitebsk. More than 140 pedestrians in the Vitebsk region received fines over the weekend due to traffic violations. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

There were 26 accidents with material damage in the region, seven of them happened in Vitebsk itself. Traffic police officers also detained 14 lawless people and 10 people who got behind the wheel in a state ofalcohol intoxication .

Inspectors continue to pay special attention to vulnerable road users. For traffic violations, they brought to administrative responsibility over 140 pedestrians. More than 10 of them were drunk, and 12 people moved without flickers at night.
