The traffic police had to stop a lawless man in Dokshitsy with shooting

August 9, Vitebsk . In Dokshitsy, traffic police stopped a driver who had previously been deprived of his driving license for drunkenness and fired shots. BELTA was informed about this by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The inspectors signaled a stop to the driver of the minibus, but he ignored the requirement and only increased speed. In an attempt to evade pursuit, the man created a real threat to other road users. To stop him, the inspectors had to use their service weapons. First they fired several warning shots into the air, and then at the wheels. As a result, the driver abandoned the car and tried to escape. He was promptly detained.

As it turned out later, a 28-year-old resident of Dokshitsy had previously been deprived of his license to drive a car for driving whileALCOHOL intoxication . After that, without a license, he got behind the wheel again and twice came to the attention of law enforcement officers.

The defendant faces criminal liability for repeatedly driving a vehicle without a license. Also, protocols were drawn up against him for failure to comply with the requirements to stop and creating an emergency situation.
