A pregnant woman with 2.1 ppm of alcohol drove a car near Vitebsk

April 13, Minsk. Near Vitebsk, a drunken pregnant woman was driving a car. BelTA was informed about this by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In Gorodok, local residents told law enforcement officers that a drunk woman was driving a Nissan. In the shortest possible time, the traffic police crew found the car and detained the violator. A 31-year-old Minsker with visual signs of alcohol intoxication was behind the wheel . The inspector also noticed that the driver was pregnant. She refused to undergo an examination on the spot, insisting on being taken to a medical facility. The result is 2.1 ppm of alcohol.

An administrative protocol was drawn up against a Minsk resident for driving a car while intoxicated. She faces a fine of up to Br7,400 and deprivation of her license for up to five years. For a repeated violation during the year, a similar violation threatens criminal liability with confiscation of the vehicle.

"If you become aware of a drunk driver, report it to the police immediately. By doing this, you will help prevent a tragedy," the Interior Ministry added.
