November 27,
MINSK . Belkoopsoyuz will explore the possibility of delivering groceries to remote villages through the Belpochta marketplace. This was announced by Inessa Korotkevich, Chairperson of the Board of the Belarusian Republican Union of Consumer Societies, in response to questions from members of parliament during a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic, BELTA reports.
Members of parliament noted that Belpochta recently launched a marketplace selling various product categories. Based on this, members of parliament inquired about the possibility of Belkoopsoyuz collaborating on this platform to meet the needs of residents in remote villages and towns.
The Chairperson of the Board of Belkoopsoyuz noted that proposals for delivering groceries to remote villages through the Belpochta marketplace will be examined. "However, this will only apply to products of our own production that have a long shelf life, such as canned
MEAT or soft drinks," she clarified.
Inessa Korotkevich also noted that Belkoopsoyuz has a well-developed material and technical base for goods delivery. "Therefore, our domestic producers, who do not have their own retail network in the form of stationary facilities or auto shops, may be more interested in this platform. We are working on mutually beneficial cooperation with Belpochta on many issues, finding common ground in some areas, but each has largely its own functions," she emphasized.
Today, parliamentarians discussed aspects of developing the agro-industrial complex, increasing its competitiveness, as well as environmental management and ecology.
