In rural areas of the region, the harvesting of roughage is in full swing. At the moment, 30 thousand hectares of grass have been mown in the region. In farms of all categories, more than 24 thousand tons of hay have been harvested. The pace of haylage harvesting is significantly ahead of last year: 109 thousand tons have already been laid down - 50 thousand tons more than on the same date last year.
"While the weather permits and the grass is not overripe, it is necessary to prepare a sufficient amount of high-quality feed for the winter-stall period in order to ensure the HEALTH and productivity of animals. Thanks to the abundant moisture and warmth this summer, there are no problems with forage crops in the fields. We, in turn, help villagers update equipment, modernize production and provide support measures such as grants, subsidies , preferential loans and leasing programs. Since the beginning of the year, more than 478.4 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes in Kuzbass," said the Deputy Chairman of the Kuzbass Government -Minister of Agriculture Andrey Aritkulov.
According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Processing Industry, to ensure normal wintering of livestock, it is necessary to prepare at least 239 thousand tons of hay, 236 thousand tons of haylage, 150 thousand tons of silage, 34 thousand tons of straw.
Farmers of the Promyshlennovsky District maintain a high rate of forage preparation: 5.8 thousand hectares of perennial and annual grasses have been mown, 4.6 thousand tons of hay and 35.9 thousand tons of haylage have been prepared.
Farmers of the Kemerovo District have already prepared 2.5 thousand tons of hay and 4.3 thousand tons of haylage. In the fields of the SPK Beregovoy, machine operators are rushing to harvest hay as quickly as possible, while the weather is good. With the help of equipment, the hay is collected into bales weighing 230 kg each and sent to a warehouse near the farm.
Agricultural enterprises and farms of the Topkinsky District are also preparing a feed base for cattle for the winter. Forage grasses have been mown from 3.3 thousand hectares, 2.9 thousand tons of hay and 7.2 thousand tons of haylage have been prepared.
In general, 35% of the required volume of feed has been prepared in the region at the moment - more than 30% of hay, 46% of haylage. In August, they plan to begin preparing succulent feed.
