The harvest in the region is in its final stages. Farmers have threshed 798,500 hectares of grain and legumes, or almost 84% of the planned area. 2,310,000 tons of grain have been collected, with an average yield of 28.9 centners per hectare.
More than 95% of the grain and legume area has been harvested in the Taseevsky, Nizhneingashsky, Balakhtinsky, Bolshemurtinsky, Uzhursky, Novosyolovsky, and Karatuzsky districts and the Pirovsky municipal district. A farm in the Kezhemsky district harvested 140 tons of grain. The average yield here has doubled compared to last year, reaching 15.6 centners per hectare.
The Uzhursky, Sharypovsky, Nazarovsky, Rybinsky, and Balakhtinsky districts are leading in yield.
"The harvest in the region is nearing completion. "Preliminary results for the gross harvest and yield are decent. Thanks to the warm and dry autumn weather, we expect to harvest high-quality grain. All resources have been mobilized to ensure that fieldwork is completed within the optimal agronomic timeframe. The supply of fuel and lubricants to farmers is being monitored," said Leonid Shorokhov, Acting Deputy Chairman of the Krai Government and Minister of Agriculture and Trade.
Farmers also continue to thresh rapeseed. 152,700 hectares have been harvested—approximately 71% of the planned area. Nearly 325,000 tons of oilseeds have been collected, with an average yield of approximately 21.3 centners per hectare. There is every reason to believe that the region will lead the country in gross oilseed harvest for the fifth consecutive year.
Farmers in the western regions accounted for the largest share of oilseeds in the regional rapeseed harvest, followed by farmers in the eastern regions, and farms in the central region. The rapeseed harvest has been completed in the Taseevsky District, with 2,600 tons of seeds harvested.
Potatoes have been harvested on 4,600 hectares, or 71.6% of the planned harvest. More than 90,000 tons have been harvested, with a yield of 196.8 centners per hectare. Harvesting has been completed in 10 of the 21 districts cultivating this "second bread." Vegetables have been harvested from 639 hectares, or 45.5% of the planned harvest. A total of 14,800 tons have been collected, with an average yield of 231.7 centners per hectare. Farmers in the Yenisei and Kozulsky Districts have completed the vegetable harvest, and work continues
in 13 other districts . The forage procurement plan has been fulfilled by 96.7%. Approximately 190,000 tons of hay, 889,000 tons of haylage, and 385,000 tons of silage have been stored. In terms of feed units, this amounts to 29.2 centners per head. This volume is sufficient to provide animals with feed during the winter. Along with harvesting and forage preparation, preparations for the 2024 agricultural season are underway . Farmers have sown winter crops on 9,600 hectares and continue to sow and cultivate seeds, as well as to till the fallow land.
