On June 21, 2023, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the Penza Region Roman Kalentyev visited the Bekovsky district.
In the region, starting from 2022, a large-scale investment project is being implemented to establish new orchards by Dukat NovoSad LLC (part of the Dukat Group of Companies). The company intends not only to sell finished products, but also to process some of them. For this purpose, a workshop for processing seedless crops (including processing of our own production) has already been put into operation in the Lopatinsky district. The output of finished products is 10 tons per day of APPLE jam and 50 tons per day of applesauce.
“The company occupies a leading position in the production of ingredients for the confectionery industry. The company plans to actively plant gardens and berry fields, process berries and produce environmentally friendly products using the latest technologies,” commented Roman Kalentyev.
This year, work was carried out to clear out old plantings with an area of about 100 hectares, establish an intensive garden with an area of 76.02 hectares, as well as establish a private nursery with an area of 2.7 hectares and a queen cell with an area of 0.9 hectares.
