For 8 months, the region produced 260 thousand tons of livestock and poultry, 165.87 thousand tons of milk, 96.7 million chicken eggs

According to official information from the territorial statistics service for the Penza region, for 8 months of 2021, agricultural organizations in the region produced 259.7 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight, including poultry production amounted to 216.7 thousand tons.

The gross MILK yield in the agricultural organizations of the region amounted to 165.87 thousand tons, which is 22.2% more than in the same period in 2020. Milk yield per cow amounted to 6189 kg, which is 8% more than in the first 8 months of last year.

During the reporting period of 2021, 96.7 million chicken eggs were received, which is 7.3% more than in January-August 2020. The average egg production of laying hens for the reporting period is 158 pieces.
