Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region Inna Podshivalova congratulated the staff of the Yuzhuralkonditer factory on the 60th anniversary of the enterprise and noted its contribution to increasing the supply of South Ural products to domestic and foreign markets. The best workers of the factory and the executive DIRECTOR Gennady Kurnosov were awarded diplomas of the regional Ministry of Agriculture. By its anniversary, the factory revived the production of Ural gingerbread according to old recipes and increased the supply of products abroad.

Yuzhuralkonditer will produce almost 15 thousand tons of sweet products in 2021. Since 2018, the company has been increasing production by an average of 5% per year. This year, Uralsky Gingerbread was put into production, which has already won a gold medal at the Golden Autumn 2021 exhibition. The success secrets of South Ural confectioners are in the use of old recipes and natural ingredients in the production of the product on new technological equipment.
Since 1996, the factory has been producing biscuit cakes, sweet glazed rolls of the Merendinka trademark: Alyonka and Korovka. No less loved by Chelyabinsk residents are the sweets "Clumsy Bear", "Space Odyssey", "Chamomile". The sweet secret of Chamomile, which won a gold medal at Prodexpo 2020, is the use of a recipe from the 1930s, which includes only 7 ingredients, including cognac. But in the "Chelyabinsk" sweets, the praline is made on natural cashew. Gingerbread "Uralsky", which will soon be on sale, is made on buckwheat honey, adding spices to FLOUR and egg melange: cardamom and nutmeg. The filling of the gingerbread is apricot. According to the executive director of the company Gennady Kurnosov, this southern fruit is able to ripen in the Urals, which means it is quite worthy to take its place in sweet souvenirs:
- One of the most important events of this year is the revival, the release of the famous Ural gingerbread. What the enterprise has done is a contribution to our national culture, the achievements of the Ural masters. And it is a great pride and honor for us that we were able to reproduce the old recipe and revive production.

Confectionery products produced at Yuzhuralkonditer help to form a positive image of the region as sweet souvenirs. In 2021, the products of Yuzhuralkonditer took part in the festivals Denis Matsuev presents, Sinegorye, Jazz on a large organ. Together with the directorate of the Chelyabinsk State Philharmonic, the confectioners developed an idea that was embodied in the new project “Chelyabinsk Sweets. History in candy wrappers. Iconic places of Chelyabinsk are depicted on the candy wrapper, and inside each candy wrapper there is a small legend associated with memorable places in Chelyabinsk and the region. Together with the new project, the idea was born to revive the production of Ural gingerbread, for which old recipes and a legend associated with the Odigitrievsky convent were found. Today, according to Gennady Kurnosov, gingerbread comes into use,

- In the Leninsky district there is the so-called Plodushka, - said the executive director of the confectionery company, - Once upon a time in Soviet times, an experimental station was located here, and according to legend, apricots from the station took first place at VDNKh. According to the stories of gardeners and scientists, apricots on Plodushka were planted by the nuns of the Odigitrievsky convent. Seedlings came to the South Urals when the Trans-Siberian Railway was opened, they were taken by rich people, and our apricot turned out to be from the Far East. And the first gingerbread, which merchants produced, also had the rarest and most delicious filling - apricot. We hope that this legend and the taste of our gingerbread will make it as famous as the Tula gingerbread.

For an outstanding contribution to the confectionery business and for assistance in implementing ideas and promoting products, Gennady Kurnosov presented a corporate prize - a copper saucepan, which is the first tool of a confectioner's work - to the General Director of the Chelyabinsk State Philharmonic Alexei Pelymsky.

“Recently, we presented Yuzhuralkonditer sweets to Denis Matsuev, People's Artist of RUSSIA, who asked to always give him and his son such wonderful sweets,” said Alexey Pelymsky, congratulating the confectioners on their anniversary. - Your sweets are amazing. We are friends recently, but together we have done a lot to promote the South Urals through the brand of the sweetest factory.

Yuzhuralkonditer is one of the exporters of the Chelyabinsk region and makes a significant contribution to the development of agricultural exports, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture Inna Podshivalova. About 50 thousand tons of products annually, which is 50% of the confectionery products produced in the region, are supplied outside the region: to other regions of Russia and abroad. In 2020, agricultural exports from the territory of the Chelyabinsk region amounted to 180 million US dollars , compared to 2018, it increased by 72 million dollars. Yuzhuralkonditer has increased its EXPORT shipments by 37% since 2018.

“Besides, today at the morning solemn event dedicated to the anniversary, we saw that people have been working here for decades, dynasties, which indicates that this is a reliable employer,” said Inna Podshivalova. - The company is socially oriented and feels confident in the market. The high quality of the products of Yuzhuralkonditer JSC was confirmed by gold medals at the recent Golden Autumn exhibition. We congratulate the company on its anniversary and wish prosperity and gain new market positions.
