pionerprodukt.by continues to publish a video from the AgroExpedition "Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan". In this video we will see how persimmon is grown in the south of Kyrgyzstan. We will also learn how local farmers use row spacing.
We came to the garden of our younger brother Maravjon, where persimmons of local varieties have been growing for the 8th year. The total area of the garden is 40 acres. The distance between the trees in a row is 3 meters, and the row spacing is 5 meters, with such a planting, there are 650 persimmon trees per 1 hectare of the garden.
Persimmon begins to bear fruit three years after planting and ripens around October, but later than pomegranate.
In this region, according to Manas Parmanovich, there is a very acute problem with varietal persimmon seedlings, which are difficult to get.
Due to the large shortage of fertile land in Kyrgyzstan, many farmers grow industrial crops in the aisle of fruit trees, although such a neighborhood is not entirely acceptable from the point of view of agricultural science. This is due to the fact that industrial crops, such as cotton, can use various chemicals, which in turn negatively affects fruit trees.
In addition, Manas Parmanovich notes that one of the promising areas for improving the quality of the fruit tree harvest for local farmers is the development of the art of tree pruning. This will most correctly calibrate the fruits on the tree.
According to Manas Parmanovich, all farmers prefer to use organic fertilizers, since mineral fertilizers worsen the quality of the fruit, and also have a high cost, often inaccessible to ordinary rural residents. At the same time, he notes that modern science offers new, more convenient, liquid organic fertilizers. But there is a problem of introducing modern cultivation methods into traditional gardening.
Despite the fact that the number of grown fruits is growing year by year, there is a high demand for these products in Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, farmers have room to grow, develop their orchards and improve the welfare of the economy and the country as a whole.
