Farms in Transbaikalia were paid 36 million rubles for putting fallow lands into circulation

State support funds in the amount of over 36 million rubles were sent to agricultural enterprises of Transbaikalia for unused arable land brought into circulation in 2025. This was reported by the acting Minister of Agriculture of the region Alexander Tyukavkin.
"Subsidies for carrying out cultural and technical activities were extended to five farms, which this year raised unclaimed agricultural land on a total area of 13 thousand hectares. Recipients were paid compensation in the amount of 36.2 million rubles for reimbursement of 50% of the actual costs incurred during field work," said the acting HEAD of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.
Activities to bring fallow lands into agricultural circulation were carried out in the Priargunsky, Nerchinsky, Sretensky, Uletovsky, Shilkinsky and Chernyshevsky districts.
The state program for the effective involvement of agricultural land in circulation and the development of the melioration complex was approved in 2020 on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. During this period, Transbaikal farms brought more than 60 thousand hectares of fallow land into circulation.
