Farms of Transbaikalia started planting potatoes and vegetables

Agrarians of the Chita region have begun planting crops, said the HEAD of the Ministry of Agriculture of Transbaikalia Denis Bochkarev.
“The first in the region to start planting vegetables and potatoes was the New Continent agricultural enterprise and Erzhena Dun's farm, operating in the Chita region. To date, these agricultural producers have carried out spring field work on an area of ​​11 hectares. Potatoes are planted on an area of ​​4 hectares, vegetables - on 7 hectares,” the minister said.
it should be noted that the total potato sown area in the farms of Transbaikalia this year will be 1 thousand hectares, vegetables will be planted on 180 hectares. The farmers will receive the first harvest in July.
As previously reported, from 2023 the GovernmentRUSSIA will increase the volume of state support for producers of potatoes and vegetables for the regions of the Far East, including Transbaikalia. Agricultural producers will begin to receive subsidies under the new federal project "Development of vegetable and potato growing." State support will depend on the volume of products produced.
