Here is a pomegranate! How pomegranate is grown. Pomegranate garden of Rustam Mukhtarov. Kyrgyzstan.

PIONERPRODUKT.by starts publishing videos from AgroExpedition “Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan”. In this video, we will see how pomegranates are grown in Rustam Mukhtarov's garden.
The total land area is about 43 acres, of which 40 acres are occupied by a pomegranate garden, on which about 350 trees are planted. The average age of pomegranate trees on the site is 7 years, and they began to bear fruit from the third year.
Depending on the year, about 25-30 kilograms of pomegranates are obtained per season from a tree. Naturally, over time, the yield gradually increases and by 10 years it can be up to 50-60 kilograms per tree.
Pomegranates of several varieties, traditional for Kyrgyzstan, are grown in Rustam's garden. At the same time, these varieties have different taste characteristics: there are sweet and sweet and sour. However, systematic work is being carried out on the farm to replace sweet and sour varieties with sweet ones.
Basically, grenades for sale are transported to the capital - Bishkek, as well as to some regions of RUSSIA. As a rule, wholesale buyers come to the farm on their own vehicles, pack them well in boxes with paper and take them to the outlets.
Pomegranates are water-loving plants, so they need to be watered quite often in arid Kyrgyz regions - every 4-5 days. Since watering is organized through a canal, therefore, a lot of weeds appear in the pomegranate garden, which are weeded out and used as feed for sheep in the subsidiary farm. Fertilization of trees is carried out with the help of manure, without the use of any chemicals.
Trees are pruned annually, for this, branches are selected that have bent and no longer grow up.
The main pests for pomegranate trees are butterflies that lay their eggs in pomegranate fruits. After birth, the butterfly larvae eat the insides of the fetus from the inside. For prevention, they are treated with biological products.
