The meeting in the form of videoconferencing with representatives of the administrations of municipal districts and districts was held by the HEAD of the Department of Agriculture and Food Resources of the region Sergey Poromonov. On the agenda are issues of conducting a sowing campaign and setting tasks for forage harvesting.
The Governor of the region this year set the task for the heads of districts and districts, agricultural producers to carry out spring sowing in agricultural organizations and peasant farms on an area of 128 thousand hectares.
To date, spring sowing in these categories of farms has been carried out on an area of 118 thousand hectares, or 92% of the plan. In a number of districts (districts) the sowing of grain and forage crops, as well as the planting of potatoes and vegetables, continues.
Spring grain crops were sown on an area of 86.4 thousand hectares, including spring wheat - 12.9 thousand hectares, barley - 59.1 thousand hectares, oats - 12.6 thousand hectares, legumes - 1.8 thousand .ha
Rapeseed was sown on an area of 1.9 thousand hectares, fiber flax - 2.1 thousand hectares, fodder crops - 25.1 thousand hectares (annual grasses - 10.1 thousand hectares, perennial grasses - 9.7 thousand hectares). ha, corn for silage - 5.3 thousand ha). 102 hectares of open ground vegetables and 2.1 thousand hectares of potatoes were also planted.
To renew forage grasses, oversowing of forage crops was carried out on an area of 23.9 thousand hectares.
The largest area of spring sowing was carried out in Vologda - 31 thousand hectares, Gryazovets - 19.3 thousand hectares, Sheksninsky - 10.6 thousand hectares, Totemsky - 5.8 thousand hectares, Velikoustyugsky - 5.3 thousand hectares and districts.
In order to provide the livestock industry with voluminous grass fodder, fodder crops were fertilized with mineral fertilizers on an area of 81.3 thousand hectares.
From sown fields on an area of 17 thousand hectares. stones were removed, harrowing of winter crops and perennial grasses was carried out on an area of 38 thousand hectares, spring plowing on an area of 19.1 thousand hectares.
“This year there is still time for sowing annual and perennial crops, and it is important for agricultural producers to make every effort to complete the sowing campaign and fulfill their obligations when receiving subsidies to support agricultural production,” Sergey Poromonov commented.

A number of farms of the region enter into forage harvesting. The farms will have to put into silage more than 1.7 million tons of green mass (in the silo 1450 thousand tons), 88 thousand tons of hay and straw, 76 thousand tons of haylage with grain haylage.
