The Vice Governor of the Tomsk Region assessed the work of agricultural enterprises and farms in the Tomsk District.

Yesterday, Mikhail Ratner, Deputy Governor of the Tomsk Region for Agro-Industrial Policy and Environmental Management, toured agricultural enterprises and farms in the Tomsk District. The purpose of the trip was to monitor vegetable and potato plantings, forage harvesting operations, and livestock farms and greenhouses.
The first stop on the route was the plant nursery of the Tomsk Forestry Technical College, located in Timiryazevsky. There, experts inspected the greenhouses and production workshops, and assessed the condition of conifer seedlings and saplings. The nursery cultivates several varieties of arborvitaes, junipers, spruces, and cedars, as well as maples and oaks, perennial flowers, and fruit bushes. The educational plant nursery is a unique structure whose purpose is both educational and commercial, providing planting material for landscaping and for private gardeners. The nursery also serves as a platform for various projects supporting environmental initiatives.
The second stop on the route was a crop production enterprise, the Zorkaltsevskaya agrofirm. it grows grains, legumes, oilseeds, potatoes , and open-field vegetables. The 2025 crop area was 2,000 hectares. As part of the "Conservation and Improvement of Soil Fertility in the Tomsk Region for the Period 2024 to 2031" program, the enterprise is implementing a chemical reclamation project on an area of ​​366 hectares. To date, a subsidy of 2.9 million rubles has been received, and investment costs have totaled 4.2 million rubles.
The next stop on the route was Igor Zhigalev's farm. Here, specialists inspected the strawberry plantations. The entrepreneur received a grant for spring and summer cultivation of garden strawberries in 2020. Using grant funds, he built summer greenhouses and plastic tunnels, purchased equipment, and planted seedlings. The grant project has been implemented, and the peasant farm's operations continue.
A working group led by the vice governor also visited the Mezheninovsky agricultural cooperative, which is engaged in crop and livestock production. It grows grain, legumes, oilseeds, and forage crops. The sown area this year is 6,200 hectares. By the end of 2024, the gross grain harvest was 6,262 tonnes in barn weight, with an average yield of 24.9 centners per hectare. The Mezheninovsky agricultural cooperative is also participating in a chemical land reclamation project as part of the "Conservation and Improvement of Soil Fertility in Tomsk Oblast" program. Planned investment costs are 7.9 million rubles, and the subsidy is 5.56 million rubles. The enterprise has 2,218 HEAD of cattle , including 850 cows. Gross MILK production in 2024 is 7,358.5 tons, average productivity is 8,796 kg of milk.
As part of the trip, the experts visited Alexander Oganyan's dairy farm. In 2020, the entrepreneur received a development grant and purchased equipment (a tractor, trailer, baler, and disc mower) and 25 heifers. The farm currently has 78 head of cattle, 47 of which are breeding stock. The milk yield per forage-fed cow is 5,475 kg. The farm also raises sheep, with a herd size of 265. The farmer processes the produce and produces yogurt, cream, andCottage cheese , sour cream, and butter , as well as soft and cheddar cheeses. The farm is registered in the Chestny Znak system, and all product sales are processed through the Mercury system. The
experts then visited Yuri Ptakhin's farm. The entrepreneur breeds beef cattle and rabbits. In 2020, the farmer received a development grant, purchased machinery and equipment, 35 heifers and two bulls, and built a barn. The farm currently has 100 head of cattle, 89 of which are breeding stock. The farm produces its own hay, with a hayfield area of ​​24.5 hectares.
The experts concluded the trip with a visit to Kirill Petrov's farm and a tour of the tourist area on Vladimir Kanaev's farm.
Kirill Petrov received a novice farmer grant in 2020, and used the grant to purchase machinery and equipment, 30 heifers and two bulls, and built a barn. The herd currently numbers 120 beef cattle, including 65 breeding cattle. A 296-hectare area is used for fodder hayfields, used for harvesting green fodder and making hay. Work is currently underway to develop a 290-hectare plot of land on the farm to build up the farm's forage base.
Farmer Vladimir Kanaev breeds dairy cattle. In 2021, he received a development grant and purchased equipment and 10 heifers. The farm currently has 101 head of cattle, including 38 cows. A 300-hectare area is used for fodder hayfields, used for harvesting green fodder and making hay.
Summing up the visit, Alexander Savenko, Deputy Head of the Department for Social and Economic Development of the Village, noted that agricultural enterprises and farms in the Tomsk District are, overall, developing dynamically, increasing production, and expanding their operations.
"Farmers and agricultural enterprise managers received individual consultations from specialists on opportunities for further development. I believe agricultural producers will continue to effectively utilize the funds allocated to them from budgets at various levels," emphasized Alexander Savenko.
