Spring sowing campaign in Kuzbass will be completed on time

In Kuzbass, spring field work is in full swing. Despite the late spring, at present, the sowing of agricultural crops takes place at the optimal agrotechnical time at the level of average long-term calendar dates.
According to the operational information of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, spring sowing has been completed by 78.1%. Cereals and leguminous crops were sown on an area of ​​475.2 thousand hectares. The sowing of industrial crops was completed by 82.4%, 126.4 thousand hectares were sown. Vegetables are planted on an area of ​​461 hectares. Potato planting (6.3 thousand ha) is 79.2% complete.
“Agrarians of the region have all the conditions for the successful completion of the spring sowing campaign. This year we set them the task of harvesting 2 million tons of grain, surpassing the record of 2022. They also manage to plant fodder crops within agrotechnical terms in order to provide the livestock farms of the region with high-quality feed in the volumes necessary, taking into account the growth of the herd. MEAT of own production is one of the most important factors of food security in the region. For our part, we provide agricultural producers with the necessary support to fulfill this strategic task,” Governor Sergei Tsivilev emphasized.
68.6 million rubles were allocated from the budgets of all levels for carrying out agrotechnological work to agricultural enterprises of the region, 24 million rubles from the regional budget for seasonal field work, 343.4 million rubles for the production and sale of grain, and stimulating the development of potato and vegetable growing. 50.6 million rubles. Also, 2.8 billion rubles of credit funds were attracted as part of concessional lending for seasonal field work.
“In order to support farmers, the Governor of Kuzbass decided to amend the rules for providing subsidies to reimburse part of the costs associated with the production of oilseeds. Now agricultural enterprises will be able to receive funds under this support measure not in November, after the harvestand the provision of statistical reporting, and already in July in the form of an advance against the planned result. For these purposes, in 2023, within the framework of the implementation of the national project "International Cooperation and Export", implemented by the decision of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, 16.7 million rubles were allocated," said Andrey Aritkulov, Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of the region.
To date, about 15% of agricultural enterprises have completed spring sowing. Thus, 27 out of 56 farms of the Mariinsky District have completed the sowing campaign. In total, this year the sown area for cereals, legumes, industrial crops and potatoes here amounted to more than 41,000 hectares. To date, field work has been completed by more than 70%.
The plan for planting onions and carrots in the Belovsky District has been fully implemented. Potato planting is also nearing completion, the plan has been achieved by 95%. Cabbage seedlings planted more than 12% of the planned. Wheat sowing is completed by 70%, oats - by 59%. Fully sowed peas , lentils and rapeseed. According to the technology of growing buckwheat, its sowing will begin in late May - early June. Agrarians of the district have already sown about 70% of the planned sown areas, completed the sowing of 7 farms.
Five out of 11 farms in the Chebulinsky District have already completed the sowing campaign. Almost 38 thousand hectares of sown area have been sown, which is 87.5% of the planned.
Three farms in the Tyazhinsky District have already completed spring sowing, including the Tyazhinsky Agro-Industrial College. Wheat and oats were sown on the educational farm, and potatoes were planted. In the shortest possible time, the girls helped the masters of industrial training along with the male students to carry out field work.
In the Yashkinsky district, the largest area under potatoes in the region is 2.6 thousand hectares. Yashkinsky farmers also resumed sowing rapeseed, since this industrial crop is in great demand.
Recall that in 2022, farmers in Kuzbass received a record grain harvest - almost 1.8 million tons. This is a record harvest for the region since 1966. Such a volume of harvest is the result of comprehensive work to modernize the agricultural sector.
