Spring sowing began in two districts of the Lipetsk region

Volovsky and Khlevensky districts started sowing spring crops. This was announced at a weekly meeting in the regional government by the vice-governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Kremnev.
He also noted that 18 municipalities are now fertilizing winter crops and perennial grasses. At the moment, more than 50% of winter crops have been fed.
The governor of the region, Igor Artamonov, instructed to keep the progress of spring field work under constant control, monitor the needs of farms and provide the necessary support in a timely manner.
“This spring, our farmers have not quite standard tasks,” the governor noted. - Due to the rainy autumn, which did not allow to sow winter crops in full, it is necessary to adjust the structure of sown areas - there will be more spring crops. For this, the region has everything you need – seeds, fertilizers, equipment and the highest professionalism of our farmers.”
Igor Kremnev added that the economy of the region is 100% provided with seeds of grain crops, the staffing with sowing material for industrial crops is more than 80%. “At the moment there are no problems or complaints. Readiness for fertilizers and machinery in the region - 100%. The state of winter crops, including due to the prevailing weather conditions, is better than our expectations,” summed up Igor Kremnev.
