Gross harvest of sunflower in Bashkortostan is expected to be at the level of last year

The gross harvest of sunflower in Bashkiria as of October 13 is 286 thousand tons, 93% of the area with this oilseed has been threshed. According to forecasts, the volume of oilseeds harvest this year will exceed 300 thousand tons, which is at the level of last year's result.

Such indicators were achieved due to the good yield of oilseeds - 12.1 centners per hectare, which is not bad for the dry season. The figure is slightly lower than last year, but the decline in sunflower harvest was offset due to a slight increase in the area with this crop, from 226 thousand hectares last year to 257 thousand hectares this year.
