A grant for the development of small businesses was awarded for the first time in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug

In the Autonomous Okrug, the winner of the competition for a grant from the governor among representatives of small agribusiness in Yamal has been determined. it was the agricultural consumer supply and marketing cooperative "Panaevsky" from the Yamal region, which scored the maximum number of points for its initiative.

Business projects were evaluated by a commission consisting of representatives of the agricultural industry and the public.

“We listened to all the contestants whose projects were admitted to the competition, and were also present at the scoring procedure to determine the winners. It is gratifying to see that Yamal entrepreneurs have many ideas for expanding farms and launching new products,” said Mikhail Okotetto, a member of the Public Council under the AIC Department.

5 million rubles will be allocated from the district budget for the development of the winner's production. At the expense of these funds, it is planned to purchase a modular workshop operating on an autonomous (wind) electrical installation for the processing of ossified horn. State support is 90% of the amount of the business initiative.

The relevant agency will conclude an agreement with the grant recipient, and then will monitor the fulfillment of their obligations to spend the funds and the results of the project.

“The small agribusiness sector in the Okrug is growing every year. The positive dynamics is due, among other things, to systemic measures of state support. Farms and individual entrepreneurs who carry out agricultural activities on an equal basis with large enterprises are entitled to receive all measures of state support for agricultural producers,” said Elena Malchevskaya, HEAD of the economic development department of the district department.

This is the first time that a grant from the Governor of the YaNAO for the development of small businesses in the Okrug has been provided. The new state support tool is intended for small businesses that have been engaged in agriculture in Yamal for at least one year. The competition, which started on November 8, received seven applications from farmers from the Yamal and Shuryshkar regions, as well as from Salekhard, Noyabrsk and Novy Urengoy. Two contestants were admitted to the final stage - project defense.
