In Salekhard, a shop for the processing of reindeer MEAT was launched. The new enterprise will produce delicious snack products - chips and brushwood.
The idea of creating a specialized business object belongs to the individual entrepreneur Roman Sharapendo. A grant from the Governor of the Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov helped to open his own business. The businessman received cash in the amount of 15 million rubles in 2020. They purchased a production workshop - a modular building that provides for the presence of both production and storage facilities for raw materials and finished products. Related equipment has also been purchased.
“The implementation of the project allowed creating 3 new jobs. Processes are automated as much as possible. For now, we will start with 500 kg per month, and then we will increase production volumes. We expect that our delicacy line will find its buyer, and will also be in demand as souvenir and gift products,” said Roman Sharapendo.
“The development of deep processing of reindeer meat is in line with modern trends and priorities for the development of the region's agro-industrial complex. it is not surprising for us to meet venison on the Yamal shelves - a wonderful environmentally friendly product. But with the commissioning of the workshop, the assortment presented in stores will expand. I would like to wish the enterprise success, and that the manufactured products will please the people of Yamal,” said Lyubov Okhman, deputy DIRECTOR of the regional department of the agro-industrial complex.
The workshop for deep processing of venison is still working in a test mode. Large-scale batches of gourmet products will begin to be produced in the summer. During the first months, the entrepreneur plans to supply new products only to sales outlets in Salekhard. Subsequently, Yamal Delicacy venison chips and brushwood will appear on the territory of the entire Autonomous Okrug.
Grants from the Governor of Yamal for the development of the agro-industrial complex have been provided since 2019. In total, 11 projects became the winners of the selection for receiving funds. Support was given to initiatives for the development of fenced reindeer breeding, processing of meat and fish products on the territory of the Autonomous Okrug.
