In Yakutia summed up the results of the 2021 forage harvesting season

Despite the drought and forest fires this summer, our farmers completed the forage harvesting and harvesting campaign with good results, mobile teams worked in 19 districts, suburbs of Yakutsk and even outside the republic. Chairman of the Government of the Republic Andrey Tarasenko met with industry representatives and district leaders to sum up the results of summer work and discuss additional measures to support farmers.

Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Alexander Atlasov. noted that this year the area of ​​cultivated arable land amounted to 56 thousand hectares. Of these, the sown area of ​​agricultural crops amounted to 47,983 thousand hectares, which is the maximum figure since 2005: “It should also be emphasized that, thanks to the implementation of the fodder production subprogram, for the fourth year in a row, the sown area of ​​fodder crops exceeds 28 thousand hectares, which has not been achieved in Yakutia since 1997 ", the minister said.

The gross grain harvest amounted to 9,947 tons, the task was completed by 82%. 58,816 tons of potatoes were harvested, which is 83% of the plan. The plan for the gross harvest of vegetables was fulfilled by 92%, which is 27.5 thousand tons.
This summer, due to dry weather, the volume of hay harvesting against the plan of 457 thousand tons amounted to 394 thousand tons, while in 8 districts and urban districts the plan was exceeded. it is noted that out of this volume, 37.7 thousand tons were harvested by mobile teams, which worked in 19 districts of the republic and the suburbs of Yakutsk. The silage mass was harvested in the amount of 23,565 tons, the volume of haylage harvesting amounted to 11,419 tons.

“It should be noted that for the fifth year now the fodder production subprogram has been implemented with an annual funding of over 200 million rubles from the republican and local budgets. The number of participating municipalities has increased from 9 to 16 this year. For 5 years, more than 12 thousand hectares of arable land have been restored, almost 600 units of equipment have been purchased. Also built 50 silo trenches, 2750 km of fencing. Since this year, the construction of haylofts has begun - 9 units this year, ”added Alexander Atlasov.

After the Minister's speech at the meeting, each type of forage harvesting and harvesting was considered in detail. The HEAD of the peasant farm, Alexander Fomin, general DIRECTOR of the Zvezda Arktiki company, the manager of the Sayuri organization, Sergey Balnaitis, reported on the cultivation of potatoes and vegetables in the open ground on how the cultivation of vegetables in the protected ground is going. The director of the Amginsky company, Roman Spasiev, spoke about the cultivation of grain crops. The deputy director of the Yakut Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture named after M.G. Safronova, DOCTOR of Agricultural Sciences Polina Okhlopkova.

Summing up, Andrey Tarasenko, on behalf of the government of the republic, thanked the farmers for their difficult and selfless work. He noted that the tasks previously announced by the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev to strengthen measures to support agriculture are being implemented in full.

“Today we discussed what additional support and what working conditions our farmers need in order to increase the sown area, increase productivity, and attract young specialists. For 2022, the task is to organize the harvesting of granulated hay, and the project of a feed mill in the Neryungri district based on the Neryungri poultry farm is also under development, the production capacity will be more than 50 thousand tons of feed per year. From what was announced today, it is also necessary to establish a reclamation system, update the agricultural machinery fleet not only for animal husbandry and crop production, but also for the food and processing industries,” Andrei Tarasenko noted.

At the end of the meeting, the prime minister of Yakutia presented the farmers with certificates and letters of thanks from the government of the republic for the high performance of the harvesting and fodder campaigns.
