The number of cattle is growing in the Khabarovsk Territory

Almost 1,200 calves have been born since the beginning of the year in agricultural organizations and large peasant (farmer) farms in the Khabarovsk Territory. In total, there are about 14 thousand heads of cattle in the region, of which 6.2 thousand are dairy cows.
Thus, in 2022, 95 calves of Simmental and Brown Swiss breeds were born on the farm of Nikolai Skalyuk, 29 of them in July. These species are especially valued for high MILK yields, docile nature, good HEALTH and unpretentiousness to climatic conditions. In addition, Brown Swiss is considered one of the best in the world in terms of protein content in milk and the quality of cheeses made from it.
“Care for the young is the basis for the reproduction of the herd. And this, in turn, is an important component of providing the inhabitants of the region with fresh and healthy products. Growing a healthy, highly productive herd is among the priorities of the ministry, and government support measures are also aimed at it, ”said the acting. Alain Seleznev, HEAD of the agro-industrial complex and breeding department of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.
KFH Skalyuka N.A. - one of the leaders in the region for the production of milk among small forms of management: it has 346 heads of dairy cattle. A government subsidy was allocated for their purchase.
The farm is also part of the Krasnorechensky cooperative. Its products - milk , yogurt, cottage cheese and sour cream - are available in retail chains of the regional capital and beyond.
