In the Vologda region, a farm will be reconstructed for 120 million rubles of investment

In the village of Fofantsevo, Vologda District, a livestock farm will be modernized. This is part of the investment project to modernize the livestock sector of the Prisukhonskoye agricultural production cooperative.
“The new dairy farm in the village of Fofantsevo will be designed for 240 animals. Work will begin in April this year. The volume of investment for modernization will be 120 million rubles,” said Acting Governor of the Vologda Region Georgy Filimonov.
Previously, the reconstruction of a free-stall livestock farm for 400 animals was completed on the farm’s territory.
In particular, during the work, the concrete base inside the building was replaced, the stall equipment was replaced with free-stall equipment, and the windows, lighting, watering and manure removal systems were updated.
Currently, the livestock population at the Prisukhonskoe agricultural production facility totals 1,826 heads, of which 778 are milking herds.
At the end of 2023, the average milk yield per cow was 11,480 kilograms of milk - a record for this farm. Also last year, the farm showed a record grain yield of 40 centners per hectare.
