The project has been implemented by the agricultural consumer cooperative "Nizhne-Kuloe" since 2019. The facility was launched in two stages. A year ago, the construction of a cowshed for 300 heads with a milking parlor was completed. Today - another cowshed for 300 heads and a maternity ward for 85 heads.
The total cost of the project is 328.4 million rubles. State support for the construction of the first stage in the amount of 37.5 million was allocated from the regional budget, the construction of the second stage will be compensated next year.
The implementation of the investment project made it possible to create a modern facility using new technologies in dairy cattle breeding: loose housing of cows with a modern milking parlor, with computerization of milking processes. A polymer coating of the feed table is installed in the cowshed building, automatic drinkers, automatic brushes and combs are installed. Mats are provided in the animal rest area, the preparation and distribution of the feed mixture is carried out by a mixer - feed distributor. In addition, administrative and utility rooms, a sanitary and veterinary checkpoint were built. The Nizhne-Kuloye
collective farm is an agricultural enterprise specializing in dairy farming, breeding Kholmogory cattle , and is the city-forming enterprise of the Verkhovazhsky District. The livestock population as of December 1, 2023, was 1,439 heads, including 506 cows.
