Harvesting campaign-2021 ends in Udmurtia

Udmurt agrarians are harvesting the grown crops on the last hectares - harvesting work is being completed in the fields where technical and vegetable crops are planted.

In the yard - mid-October. The next field season for the farmers of Udmurtia with the vagaries of the weather and strength exams is almost over. Flax growers, potato growers and vegetable growers of the republic are also completing the harvest.

So, according to operational data, only 157 hectares of fiber flax remained to be pulled out - the harvesting plan was completed by 98%. And today only one flax-sowing region, Yukamensky, continues to carry out these works. In the remaining fields, flax is already aging and ripening, preparing to be sent for processing. The first 2,000 tons of flax straw to load the capacities of flax plants by flax growers have already been harvested.

4.8 thousand hectares of potato fields have also been emptied - this is 86% of the planting area. 68.9 thousand tons of young tubers were dug out, a significant part was laid down for winter storage - 60.6 thousand tons. The yield of the “second bread” this season is 141 centners / ha (in 2020 as of this date - 161.3 centners / ha). The fields of Debessky and Yukamensky districts of the republic give the maximum return in emergency situations - 241 centners per hectare and 200 centners per hectare, respectively.

Corresponds to last year's level, the yield of vegetable crops - 204 c/ha. To date, 4.7 thousand tons of open ground vegetables have been harvested in the republic. At the same time, the gross harvest of fresh cabbage is 3 thousand tons against 2.2 thousand tons last season on this date. Beets, according to operational data, received 736 tons (935 tons), carrots - 848 tons (867 tons). Vegetable growers have to collect 26% of the grown crop.

These days the farms also continue harvesting spring rapeseed. 87% of the harvested area has been threshed, from which 9 thousand tons of oilseeds have been threshed with an average yield of 7.6 centners per hectare (14.7 centners per hectare). Gradually, corn fields are also becoming empty, due to which the stocks of silage mass continue to be replenished. As of today, 783.5 thousand tons of these feeds have been prepared in the republic.
