
The Department for Social and Economic Development of Rural Affairs of the Tomsk Region monitored the harvest campaign on farms in the Shegarsky and Krivosheinsky districts.
The first stop on the route was Ekaterina Zintsova's farm, which primarily focuses on crop production. The entrepreneur owns 438 hectares of land and leases another 1,200 hectares. Her main crop is wheat, with an annual harvest of up to 4,000 tons. She also grows barley.Peas , rapeseed. The farm has finished harvesting hay: 200 hectares have been mown. Pea harvesting has begun ; 560 tons have been collected from 210 hectares with an average yield of 26.2 c/ha. Fall plowing is being prepared for next year’s harvest; 160 hectares have been cultivated.
The Mezheninovskaya agrofirm (part of the Sibirsky Premier agroholding) specializes in growing grain crops (wheat, oats, barley, and rapeseed) and is also engaged in MILK and MEAT production. The sown area is 14,800 hectares. Oat harvesting is currently underway here. Almost 5,000 tons have been threshed from 1,091 hectares with an average yield of 45.65 c/ha.
Alexander Varfolomeev’s peasant farm has over 3,000 hectares of sown area. The farm is finishing preparing forage. The grain harvest plan is almost half fulfilled: 1,200 hectares have been harvested, 3.66 thousand tons of wheat have been threshed with an average yield of 30 c/ha. The pea harvest is complete, and oilseed crops – rapeseed – are about to begin. Fallen arable land is being prepared for next year’s harvest; 280 hectares have been cultivated.
The farmer is developing beef cattle farming: he breeds Hereford cattle . The marbled meat from the Varfolomeev peasant farm is known not only in the Shegarsky district, but also in Tomsk. The enterprise’s material resources include 6 grain warehouses, 2 grain dryers, 2 cowsheds, equipment repair workshops, a garage, and machinery and equipment for grain production: 7 combines, 3 sprayers, and 16 tractors. The peasant farm employs 6 people; During the spring and autumn, the number of employees reaches 30.
The Belostok agricultural production cooperative, located in the neighboring Krivosheinsky District, also has cropland in Shegarsky. it is the only farm beyond the Urals that breeds Ayrshire dairy cattle. The herd size is 2,083. The farm has already prepared 2,170 tons of hay and 11,360 tons of silage for the winter. The barley and pea harvest is actively underway: 1,770 tons have been threshed, and 715 hectares have been harvested with an average yield of 24.8 c/ha. The planned area for harvesting is 5,440 hectares. Preparation for fallow land has begun, with 225 hectares of the planned 8,215 hectares cultivated for next year's harvest.
The forage harvesting campaign at the Krivosheinsky agricultural production cooperative is almost complete. The barley harvest has begun: 93 tons have been threshed from 46 hectares.
"The harvesting campaign is in full swing at all farms in the region. Rains have hindered the process somewhat, causing the soil to become waterlogged. Nevertheless, farmers are taking advantage of every sunny hour for harvesting. To date, the region has harvested 16.4% of the grain and legume crops planned, yielding 69,300 tons," concluded Alexander Savenko, Deputy HEAD of the Department for Rural Social and Economic Development of the Tomsk Region.
