In January-June 2022, food production increased by almost 9% in the Tambov region compared to the same period last year.
Thus, the production of fermented MILK products increased by 2.5 times. The growth is associated with an increase in demand for goods from Tambov manufacturers. Note that if necessary, production can be increased.
In addition, in the first half of 2022, 2.3 times more SUGAR was produced - almost 70 thousand tons. The reason for the growth is an increase in the carry-over balance of sugar beets in 2021, as well as the production of sugar from molasses in larger volumes than in 2021.
The production of milk and butter increased by almost 1.5 times, the production of MEAT and by-products increased by 15%, and semi-finished meat products by 12%.
“All food industry enterprises in the Tambov region are working stably. There are necessary raw materials for food production. Our region continues to ensure food security not only for Tambov residents, but also for residents of other regions of RUSSIA. We send significant volumes of food outside the country,” said the acting HEAD of the regional administration Maxim Egorov.
