In the Tambov region, work is underway to improve the interaction between beekeepers and farmers

The Department of Agriculture of the Tambov region held a meeting together with interested federal departments on the development of beekeeping. The participants discussed ways to improve the interaction between beekeepers and farmers in the region.
There are more than 49.5 thousand bee colonies in the farms of the region of different forms of ownership.
Over the past three years, more than 10 million rubles have been allocated for the development of beekeeping as part of grant support for beginning farmers and under the Agrostartup program. With the help of budgetary funds, 428 bee colonies were purchased.
The agricultural beekeeping consumer cooperative "TAMMed" operates in the region, on the basis of which the production of honey and honey-containing products has been established.
In the region, work is underway on the certification of apiaries - 1651 bee apiaries are registered.
For the effective development of beekeeping in the region, continuous work is underway to establish interaction between beekeepers, agricultural producers, and authorities.
So, in the coming production season, in order to avoid poisoning of honey bees when using pesticides and agrochemicals on agricultural fields in the region, an information system has been established.
On the official website of the Department of Agriculture of the region and the website of the Regional Information and Consulting Center of the agro-industrial complex there is a register of beekeepers in the Tambov region. To inform agricultural producers about the location of apiaries, work is underway to create interactive maps indicating the contact details of the beekeeper, the number of bee colonies and the location of the apiary. All information about the need to exclude the flight of bees before the treatment of crops with pesticides will be posted on the website of the Regional Information and Consulting Center of the AIC.
Beekeeping in the Tambov region is a traditional branch of agriculture that produces valuable food biologically active products for the population.
