Poultry meat production increased by 21% in the Tambov region

According to the results of the first quarter of 2022, the agricultural enterprises of the region produced more than 93 thousand tons of poultry for slaughter in live weight. Compared to the same indicator in 2021, the volume of poultry meat production increased by almost 21%, the Department of Agriculture of the Tambov Region reported.
In the structure of all types of meat produced at the enterprises of the region, poultry occupies 64%.
The growth of poultry meat production is carried out due to the increase in capacity at Tambovskaya Turkey LLC, as well as the commissioning of Tambov Broiler LLC of the Resurs Agro-Enterprise Group.
“This year it is planned to produce more than 365,000 tons of poultry meat in the poultry enterprises of the region,” said Maxim Egorov, head of the Tambov region. “The constant growth of poultry meat production helps to increase the competitiveness of our products in the domestic and foreign markets and is an important contribution of the Tambov region to the food security of Russia.”
