Berry harvest continues in Tambov region

According to the operational information of the Department of Agriculture of the Tambov region, agricultural producers in the region have collected more than 262 tons of berries. Agrarians of the region grow strawberries, strawberries, raspberries, currants, chokeberries and other berries. This year, the harvest of raspberries amounted to 60 tons, garden strawberries - 97 tons. Currant harvested about 30 tons, chokeberry - about 70 tons.

To date, the region continues to work on the harvest of chokeberry and raspberries.

The berries are used for processing and for trade counters in shops and markets in the region.

In the Tambov region, 7 agricultural organizations and more than 20 peasant (farmer) households are engaged in berry growing.
