The largest exhibition of achievements of the agro-industrial complex - "All-Russian Field Day" began its work in the Sverdlovsk region

In Russia, the harvesting campaign is in full swing. This year, the southern regions of the country showed record-breaking indicators of grain production, a significant increase in yields in Siberia. Despite unfavorable weather conditions in some subjects, the overall result promises to be one of the best in the history of Russia. In many respects, this is ensured through the use of modern technologies in crop production, the use of highly efficient equipment and advanced developments of domestic breeders.

All the main achievements of the domestic agro-industrial complex were collected by the Ministry of Agriculture at the annual exhibition "All-Russian Field Day", which opened today in the Sverdlovsk Region. This year, a large-scale open-air exhibition complex is located on an area of 80 hectares.

The results of breeding work are presented on experimental fields, where more than 600 varieties and hybrids of wheat, barley, oats, rapeseed, peas, corn, potatoes, and other crops, including those uncharacteristic for the climatic zone of the Urals, were sown. In addition, at the exhibition you can get acquainted with the latest in the field of agrochemistry and plant protection. The advanced samples of agricultural machinery and equipment are demonstrated at the test sites.

The events of the business program are also held within the framework of the exhibition. Experts discuss a wide range of issues related to improving soil fertility and land reclamation, the production of organic products, the digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex, agricultural science and other relevant topics. The strategic task of the plant growing industry is to further increase the production of basic crops, improve the quality and competitiveness of domestic products in Russia and the world. This year, the Ministry of Agriculture expects positive dynamics in the development of agriculture, which will fully meet the country's domestic needs for key types of food and maintain a high export potential.

The All-Russian Field Day exhibition will run until August 14.
