
For the 2022 harvest, 44.7 thousand hectares have been sown in North Ossetia, of which 26.9 thousand hectares are winter wheat, 2.8 thousand hectares are winter barley and 14.9 thousand hectares are winter rapeseed. Spring crops are planned to be sown on an area of 136.5 thousand hectares.
According to the results of monitoring conducted by specialists of the branch of the Russian Agricultural Center in the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania, the condition of 56.3% of winter crops is assessed as good and 42% as satisfactory.
At present, farmers of the Republic are preparing for the upcoming spring field work: they are importing mineral fertilizers, preparing seed material, and repairing agricultural equipment.
Agreements have been signed with producers of mineral fertilizers on the supply of nitrogen and nitrogen-containing mineral fertilizers to the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania for agricultural work.
A list of regional distributors supplying mineral fertilizers to the region has been compiled and posted on the official website of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The need for mineral fertilizers for spring field work this year for the farmers of North Ossetia is about 38.3 thousand tons in physical weight.
