In agricultural enterprises of the Tambov region, an increase in milk production is observed

According to the Department of Agriculture of the Tambov Region, in the first two months of 2022, agricultural enterprises in the region produced 12.5 thousand tons of MILK. This is almost 4% more than last year's figures for the same period.
A positive result in the production of milk in agricultural organizations is achieved mainly due to the growth of animal productivity, the renewal of the herd, the improvement of the forage base, the introduction of modern technologies for keeping animals, the construction of new and reconstruction of old dairy farms.
So, in 2021, the milk yield per 1 forage cow in agricultural organizations amounted to 6858 kg, which is 266 kg higher than the level of 2020. In peasant (farm) farms, the productivity of the dairy herd amounted to 5240 kg, which is 245 kg higher than the level of 2020.
State support plays an important role in the development of dairy farming. This year, a subsidy is provided for reimbursement of part of the costs of supporting our own milk production, for the purchase of breeding young cattle (heifers) of a dairy direction of domestic origin, as well as for the construction, reconstruction and modernization of production.
To date, 22 agricultural organizations and 95 peasant (farm) farms are working in the Tambov region in the field of dairy cattle breeding.
According to experts' forecasts, a stable situation in the dairy sector will remain in the Tambov region in 2022.
