Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region - Minister of Agriculture of the region Roman Kovalsky, along with other heads of regional management bodies of the agro-industrial complex, continues to personally get acquainted with the course of spring field work in the municipal districts of the region.
So, last weekend he visited the IP HEAD of the peasant farm Smetanin Sergey Nikolaevich of the Krasnoarmeysky district, where oats are being planted.
And, as the head of the agrarian block of the region said today, the course of spring field work is gaining momentum: farmers from all regions of the region have entered the sowing season-2023.
By April 24, 184 thousand hectares have been sown in the region, which is 6% of the plan.
Grain crops were sown on 157 thousand hectares (16% of the plan), including wheat - 63.7 thousand hectares, of which 37.0 thousand hectares are durum, barley - 65.5 thousand hectares, peas - 6.7 thousand hectares, chickpeas - 2.4 thousand hectares, lentils - 5.5 thousand hectares.
Industrial crops were sown on an area of ​​25 thousand hectares, including sunflower 3.0 thousand hectares, SUGAR beet 4.0 thousand hectares.
1.1 thousand hectares were sown with early vegetable crops and potatoes.
“In the last 24 hours alone, spring sowing was carried out on an area of ​​more than 40,000 hectares,” Roman Kovalsky specified.
In addition, gardeners of the region are laying orchards and fruit nurseries. According to the operational data of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, 25 hectares of nursery and 24 hectares of intensive gardens have been laid.
