300 thousand tons of grain were harvested in the Saratov region

“Over the past day, 300 thousand tons of grain have been harvested in the region. This is a record figure in the history of harvesting campaigns in the region,” said Roman Kovalsky, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government, Minister of Agriculture of the region.
In total, by today, according to the operational data of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, 564.2 thousand hectares have been threshed in the region (25.1% of the plan). Gross harvest amounted to 1920.2 thousand tons with an average yield of 34.0 q/ha.
The boundary of 100,000 tons of threshed, in addition to the Pugachevsky and Engels regions, was overcome by the grain growers of the Kalininsky and Krasnokutsky regions of the region. Balashovsky (49.8 centner/ha), Kalininsky (46 centner/ha), Pugachevsky (41.7 centner/ha) MR are leading in terms of grain yield.
Agrarians from 22 districts (Novoburassky, Voskresensky, Baltaisky, Dergachevsky, St. Petersburg, Samoilovsky, Dukhovnitsky, Pugachevsky and others) started early harvesting of spring grain. With a yield of 19.1 c/ha, the first ton of spring wheat was harvested in the fields of the region.
In addition, harvesting of barley, peas, lentils, winter camelina, early vegetables and potatoes continues.
