There are enough food supplies in the Saratov region to meet the needs of the population

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Saratov Region conducts daily monitoring of stocks of key food products both at food and processing industries, and in wholesale and retail trade organizations.
To date, the stock of food wheat in the region is more than 770 thousand tons, with an annual demand of the region of 300 thousand tons. The region is provided with food grain not only until the new harvest, but actually for 2.5 years ahead. Accordingly, it is provided with FLOUR, cereals and bread.
There are a number of large mills in the region, which make it possible to produce flour twice as much as the needs of the population and even EXPORT it.
The volume of bread production directly depends on consumption. There are no interruptions in the supply of bread. The entire range of bakery products of local producers is presented on the shelves of stores. If necessary, production can be doubled - up to 150 thousand tons of bread per year.
For pasta - the volume of finished products in the warehouses of manufacturers and networks satisfies the needs of the population for 3-4 months, i.e. until the next harvest. At the same time, taking into account the significant stocks of wheat, it is replenished daily and remains at the same level. In 2021, the region produced 143 thousand tons of pasta, both social and more expensive, which is 7.5 times higher than the demand. In addition, a wide range of products from manufacturers from other regions is widely represented on store shelves.
In terms of sunflower oil, the region is one of the leaders in Russian production. In 2021, 1.8 million tons of sunflower and more than 500 thousand tons of sunflower oil were produced. The regional stock of warehouses for finished products of enterprises is filled in the amount of 1.5 annual needs of the population of the region and is replenished daily.
The stock of SUGAR by producers and the constantly replenished stock of the wholesale link and networks exceeds 11.3 thousand tons. This is enough not only until the new harvest, but almost until the end of the year.
At the end of September, sugar production is expected from the current year's sugar beet crop. An agreement was reached with a regional sugar producer on the supply of sugar at reduced prices for the regional chains Grozd and Sputnik.
Negotiations were held with the Reserve company, a major supplier of sugar and cereals for key federal networks represented in the Saratov region, and the leading sugar producer in RUSSIA, the Rusagro company. The optimal commodity distribution chain has been worked out.
Thanks to the implementation of investment projects for the construction of greenhouses, the production of protected ground products has doubled compared to last year. For open ground - the stock of local vegetables is more than 10 thousand tons, which corresponds to the stocks of average values ​​for a number of years for a given period of time, in which there was no shortage of these products. Additionally, traditionally for the region, vegetables from other regions are supplied throughout the year, if necessary, the volume of supplies can be increased. The entire vegetable group is represented in the retail network; over the past month, a sharp increase in prices has not been recorded. Stocks are constantly updated and maintained taking into account the needs of residents for 2 months in advance.
Last year, eggs were produced 1.5 times more than the needs of the population of the region - almost 1 billion eggs. The volume of MILK and MEAT production at the level of the previous year. Animal husbandry is provided with fodder in full need.
The Governor of the region has set the task of increasing the number of agricultural fairs, which will now be held two days a week on Saturday and Sunday, including on Theater Square in Saratov and in the regions of the region.
Today, about 240 fairgrounds are already operating in the region. This work will continue.
