Samara Region artificial insemination operators demonstrated their knowledge, professionalism, and skill at the regional stage of the all-Russian competition for the title of best in their profession.
Samara-ARIS, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Samara Regional Organization of the Russian Agricultural Workers' Trade Union, and the Center for Agricultural Development, holds the competition every two years. Traditionally, the competition takes place in the Bezenchuksky District. This year marks the 36th edition.
"This is a very important event. it demonstrates that the region has advanced livestock farming and qualified specialists who are proficient in modern technology. We can all learn from them. The competition is important for popularizing the artificial insemination profession, encouraging young people to become interested in it and join the ranks of these specialists," said Rudolf Ilyin, HEAD of the Ministry of Agriculture's Livestock and Breeding Department.
Three stages of in-person testing, plus performance evaluation, constitute a true test of professionalism. The testing is rigorous, and compliance with the requirements is monitored by competent judges. The most crucial stage is the practical one, where they demonstrate how their farms achieve high herd reproduction rates. Evaluations of the cow's rectal examination , the physiological condition of the reproductive organs, and insemination techniques are traditionally conducted at the Kupinskoye livestock complex.
All the contestants are professionals in their fields, so the competition was fierce. And there was plenty to compete for: generous prizes awaited the winners. Based on the results of all tests, Ekaterina Garashchenko, an artificial insemination operator at Kupinskoye in the Bezenchuksky District, took third place and received a certificate for 30,000 rubles. Second place went to Ekaterina Dzhebrailova from the Kuibyshev collective farm (SPK) in the Kinelsky District (a certificate for 40,000 rubles). As a trade union member, she was awarded a boat trip to Kazan by the Samara Regional Organization of the Agricultural Workers' Union.
