
According to current data from the Ryazan Region Ministry of Agriculture, the SUGAR beet harvest has already reached its highest level in the past decade, although only 92% of the area under this crop has been harvested.
As of November 1, 371,000 tons of the root crop had been harvested, exceeding the 10-year high (370,000 tons in 2019) and significantly exceeding the 10-year average (282,000 tons). Most of the harvested sugar beet crop has already been sent for processing: 103,000 tons of root crops have been shipped to the Sotnitsynsky Sugar Refinery in the Ryazan Region, and another 141,000 tons to a sugar refinery in the Tambov Region.
Oilseed crops such as sunflower, soybeans, rapeseed, flax, and others have been harvested from 87% of the area. A total of 475,000 tons of oilseeds were harvested, with a record harvest expected (the previous maximum was 490,000 tons in 2022).
The latest crop, grain corn, has been harvested on 20% of the area, with 74,000 tons threshed. The grain harvest (wheat, barley,This year's crops (peas , rye, oats, corn, etc.) are among the top three highest in the history of the Ryazan Region, with more than 2.8 million tons expected.
The potato and vegetable harvest is expected to be higher than last year:
potatoes have been dug up on 85% of the area, yielding 103,000 tons of tubers;
open-field vegetables (cabbage, carrots , beets, cucumbers, lettuce, zucchini, and garlic) have been harvested at 72%, with 15,700 tons.
