On May 23, in the Spassky District of the Ryazan Region, the second stage of the Priokskoye Myas dairy livestock complex for 1,200 cows with a Karusel milking machine was ceremoniously opened. The Governor of the Ryazan Region Pavel Malkov took part in the launch.
The new livestock complex of Priokskoye Myaso LLC is designed for 3,600 cows; construction of two stages out of three has been completed. The first stage was commissioned in 2020, the second - in April 2024. The third stage of construction has begun, which is planned to be completed by the end of 2025. The total capacity of the complex in 2025 will reach 37 thousand tons of MILK per year. The total investment will amount to 3.95 billion rubles. Currently, 105 people work in the Priokskoye Myas livestock complex, and with the completion of the third stage, the total number of jobs created will reach 150.
The two commissioned stages of the mega-farm are designed for 2,400 heads of dairy herd, now there are more than 2,100 cows, and the staffing continues. And together with calves, the total number of cattle exceeds 3,600 heads. If the first batch of heifers in 2020 was purchased in Germany, then the second stage was staffed entirely with domestic livestock, mainly from breeding enterprises of the Ryazan region. Let us remind you that the Ryazan region has achieved self-sufficiency in highly productive breeding cattle since 2022.
The 80-seat Carousel milking unit is equipped with an instant milk cooling system in the flow and modern storage and unloading systems.
The "Calf Village" is organized inside the building with calves kept in individual cages. For the first time in RUSSIA, the Priokskoye Myaso farm has used a cutting-edge system for individual calf feeding, which allows for automatic filling and rinsing of bottles, which provides a 100% guarantee of compliance with the hygiene protocol.
The governor discussed with the management the main areas of work of Priokskoye Myaso LLC, development plans for the near future, issues of purchasing and servicing high-tech equipment under sanctions. Pavel Malkov noted the steady growth of milk production in the region and the contribution of this agricultural enterprise to the development of dairy farming in the Ryazan agro-industrial complex. "The second stage of a large livestock complex has been launched, and construction of the third stage has begun. The development of the enterprise continues, there are big plans," said Pavel Malkov. "There are some issues that require support , including the improvement of the access road. We will definitely work out all the necessary solutions together."
Let us recall that the volume of cow's milk production in the Ryazan region has been growing for the tenth year in a row, which was achieved thanks to government support measures, investment attraction, construction of modern farms, increase in the number of cows, and breeding work. In 2023, 624.9 thousand tons of raw milk were produced in the Ryazan region, compared to 2022, the volume increased by 5.1%, and the total growth over 10 years was 76%. In 2024, the growth trend continues, and the construction of the Priokskoye Myaso dairy complex will ensure a further increase in milk production.
